Hsinchu Cheng Huang Temple
Hsinchu Cheng Huang Temple has been a great success for its believers since the Ching Dynasty, and it has least two hundred and fifty years of history to date, it is also the highest class Cheng Huang Temple of Taiwan. In front of the temple you can find traditional Taiwanese snacks, such as Hsinchu’s most famous Gong Wan (pork bass), rice noodles, and pork stuffed dumplings, therefore the temple is a must-see place when you visit Hsinchu.
- Walk to the Hsinchu Eastern Gate then go straight along Wenchang Street.
Hsinchu City Glass Museum
The glass craft is the most represented industry of early Hsinchu, with the traditional industries now gone, the glass industry has also withered gradually. Due to this reason, the cities government remodeled the Autonomous Club House which is located at the LiChih Pond bank left over from the Japanese Occupation Period of 1999, its graceful architecture and the abounding glass craft exhibition is one of the most favorite tourism spots for visitors. The museum changes the domestic and international glass masters’ works often, also located here is the DIY and artworks tourist areas.
- Drive from the National Hsinchu Girls’ Senior High School on the Zhonghua Road, and then make a u-turn to the DongDa Overpass Bridge, the straight driving distance is approximately 10min.
Nanliao 17KM Coastline Scenic Area
Hsinchu City is located on the west coast; its exceptional natural environment develops the ascendant recreation industry. The Nanliao 17KM Coastline Scenic Area includes the abounding eco scenic areas like Hsinchu Fishing Harbor, Horizon-Bundle of Sky and Horizon Viewing Area GangNan Canal, Mangrove Park, Splendid Coastline and Hai Shan Fishing Harbor etc., it also formulates a biking route for the entire coastline. While biking along the shore at sunset, enjoy a cozy feeling with the breeze, you can even head to the nearby seafood restaurants for the freshest of seafood.
- Drive from the National Hsinchu Girls’ Senior High School on the Zhonghua Road, and then make a right turn to DongDa road, heading towards Nanliao direction for about 20min.
Neiwan – Jianshih Scenic Spots
Famous for the spur small train, Neiwan embraces the beautiful mountain views like a Shangri-La. It has some exceptional historical sights left over from more prosperous years such as the train station, old suspension bridge, old theatre, and the naturally unique sights like the cherry blossoms, Tung tree flowers, and firebugs etc., moreover the magnificent scenic garden café has the visitors coming to visit constantly, making this place reappear with its old time glory from 50 years ago. The Neiwan old street centers at the train station, within the short hundred meters of the street contains the affluent historical tracks, the famous architectures including the Neiwan Theatre, Catholic Church, and the Guang Ji Temple etc., these are the architectures from hundreds of years ago. The pure local Hakka food and the local specialty shops have become the particular scene of the old street. Jianshih’s valley is high and steep and very rugged, going deep into the NeiShan will lead you to a natural hot spring area and the divine tree area in the original tribe, the view is just like nature itself so gorgeous, likewise join an amazing premium trip! The Jianshih Scenic Area is the advance station of DaBaJian Mountain; its range is very wide, also having the lode sodium bicarbonate hot spring, the so-called beauty bath. The hot spring industry has flourished here for many years.
- From Zhonghua Road towards Chupei direction, get on Expressway No.68 to ZhongFong Road, exit at Provincial Highway No.3, make a left turn to HengShan Road section, and turn right at Country Road No.112. Driving distance is about 30~40 minutes.
Beipu – Ermei Scenic Spot
The Beipu old street which centers at the Cih Tian Temple, is the business center of days gone by in Beipu, the houses on the sides of the street are arched architectures made by red bricks, that still remains the feature characteristics of old architecture style. In among them, the most famous architectures such as the only first rank historic heritage “Chin Kuang Fu” of Hsinchu County, “Tien Shui Tang” the former residence of the reclaimed forerunner Jiang Siou-Luan, and the ancient residence of Jiang A-Sin. From Beipu town further into “NanPu Eco-Village” which preserves quite completely the Hakka rural eco, and the stunning countryside views. Emei Township remains the typical Hakka expression, drive along the pond bank freeway during the early summer period, where you will see the gorgeous views of Tung tree blossoms from time to time! Once there you will find the bike lake-loop path, walk along the lake-loop path furthermore to enjoy the pleasant feeling of biking and chasing the wind! Emei region is famous worldwide for its specially produced Eastern Beauty Tea (Dong Fang Mei Ren Tea). Developed by the local citizens, the Bai Hao Oolong Tea with its bulk buds and small but thick leaves has a mellow and sweet taste after the natural ferment process. The tea exports world wide and it was once favored by the Queen of England, therefore it is called the Eastern Beauty Tea, and the locals also call it Peng Fong Tea.

Leofoo Village Theme Park

Window on China Theme Park
Located at Longtan, the “Window on China Theme Park” is made famous by the Best of Asia “Miniature World”, in the recent years the park enlarged to include the theme areas like “Indian Adventure Area”, “Indoor European Playground”, and “Nile Adventure Area”, in which these theme areas are widely popular, this year the park even established the “Astral Theme Area” this includes the theme facilities such as the Star Terminal, Universe Light Gallery, Mercury Wars, Alien Festive Lightings Area, UFO Family-Friendly Folk Water Playground, Galaxy Blast Stage, and Magic Sphere Artistic Village etc., the most visited recreation place this year!

Green World Ecological Farm
The Green World Ecological Farm is located at the Beipu of Hsinchu, and embraces the primeval forest area of 70 hectares, it is the newest and biggest international Ecological farm, its design style aims at the animals and plants natural eco and in coordination with the African tropics straw bungalows, the farm formulates the five major theme parks of “Swan Lake”, “Cactus & Succulent Park”, “Water Plants Park”, “Butterfly Ecological Park” and “Bird Ecological Park”; there is also a total of 37 unique scenic spots, for instance the Macaw Area, Amazon Rainforest Area, Sky Plants Area, Poisonous Plants Area, Exotic Cuisine, Green World Plaza, Landscaping Washrooms, Bamboo Mountain Tea Garden and Hakka Ancient Building etc., the facilities design is throughout and original, and a great place for education and recreation!
